Senate Bill 1241, which would prohibit new drivers under 18 from using a communication device within their first six months of driving, unanimously passed committee last week. Cronkite News reporter Sidney Coats notes that the bill would have Arizona join 32 states in keeping cellphones out of the hands of young drivers.
