Correction to March 21 story on Resolution Copper hearing

WASHINGTON – A March 21 story on a congressional hearing over a proposed land swap that would help clear the way for the Resolution Copper mine in southeast Arizona incorrectly stated the amount of copper the mine could ultimately produce. The company estimates that the mine could supply about one-fourth of the U.S. demand for copper over the next several decades, based on current consumption. An updated version of the story reflects the correction.
