PHOENIX – When Officer Moses Kawala returned last month from visiting family in Sierra Leone, he was cleared by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Still, Kawala was ordered by Sheriff Joe Arpaio to undergo the 21-day quarantine period, which he voluntarily agreed to do. He returned to duty Tuesday and says he appreciates the time to recuperate from the long journey.
